
WORTHING FA
The Association was founded in 1894 and operates in the area bounded by a line from Seaford to Lewes, along the south edge of the Downs to Washington, Storrington and west to the River Arun, then south to include Littlehampton. In recent years these boundaries have been extended to other areas in Sussex where the Association that used to operate there no longer exists.
Since the establishment of the SCFA Ltd, all disciplinary matters are now dealt with by them and this Association now only controls 4 Cup Competitions, these are as follows;
Brighton Charity Cup - Established 1895. For Senior Clubs only, entry by invitation each season. All net proceeds are donated to local charities, hospitals etc.
Vernon Wentworth Cup - Established 1894. For Intermediate Clubs only, drawn from;
Brighton, Hove & District Football League, Premier Div. only.
Sussex County Football League, Div 3 and all Reserve Section Divisions.
West Sussex League, Premier & Div. 1 only.
Worthing & District Football League, Premier Div. only.
Hove & Worthing Cup - Established 1907. For Junior Clubs in the Brighton, Hove & District League and the Worthing & District League.
Brighton Challenge Shield - Established 1895. As for the Hove & Worthing Cup but Teams may not enter both Competitions.
